A freeware usually associated with ifoEdit.
It is intend to manipulate VOB file with various features, including merging and demuxing.

Purpose

We will use it to demux the VOB file. Demuxing means separating both audio and video streams from the original mpeg2 file (VOB file).
Then from VTS_01_1.VOB unique file we will "extract" 2 new files : VTS_01_1.m2v (for video) and VTS_01_1.80.ac3 (for audio).

Instructions

Open VOBedit, and then open the VOB file (it is mandatory that it is called VTS_01_1.VOB otherwise it fails)  :

Once the file is loaded, click on the [Demux] button :

Then select to demux all streams (the DTH7000 doesn't create subtitled file, so this options can be left unchecked) :

Accept all the default filename it proposes you at the beginning of demuxing process :
DON'T BE SURPRISED, it doesn't ask you for the .m2v filename (it will create it automatically), It only ask you for the audio filename.
You can accept as is the default filename and the default destination folder it proposes. Don't worry about the .n.xxx, it will generates 2 new files in the same directory as the original VOB file : VTS_01_1.m2v and VTS_01_1.80.ac3
