A freeware usually associated with
ifoEdit.
It is intend to manipulate VOB file with various features, including
merging and demuxing. Home
page :
http://www.ifoedit.com
Purpose
We
will use it
to demux the VOB file. Demuxing means separating both audio and video
streams from the original mpeg2 file (VOB file).
Then from VTS_01_1.VOB
unique file we will "extract" 2 new files : VTS_01_1.m2v (for
video) and VTS_01_1.80.ac3
(for audio).
Instructions
Open
VOBedit, and
then open the VOB file (it is mandatory that it is called VTS_01_1.VOB
otherwise it fails) :
Once the file
is loaded, click on the [Demux]
button :
Then select to
demux all streams (the DTH7000 doesn't create subtitled file, so this
options can be left unchecked) :
Accept
all the default filename it proposes you at the beginning of demuxing
process :
DON'T BE SURPRISED, it
doesn't ask you for the .m2v filename (it
will create it automatically), It only ask you for the audio filename.
You can accept as is the default filename and the default destination
folder it proposes. Don't worry about the .n.xxx,
it will generates 2 new files in
the same directory as the original VOB file : VTS_01_1.m2v
and
VTS_01_1.80.ac3
